Endless trash is being found in the oceans every year and very little is being done. People can’t go to the ocean without seeing trash, beaches are becoming to look more like ocean filters. Many animals are being killed by plastic bags and bottles, broken glass that cut through the flesh of whales, seals, fishes, sea turtles and other marine mammals. Not only are they being trapped in trash pollution but are easily being mistaken as food. Chemicals from plastic and other materials are being absorbed onto the fishes and humans can also be affected.

Do we really want more plastic then fishes? We have the option to change the future, to care for our planet, and have the responsibility to care for our water.

Out of many companies that give back TOMS is one big foundation that is improving lives every single day. From giving out shoes, eye exams, safe water, safe birth, and bullying response programs. With every purchase that is made one for one continues to grow on giving the ones in need. Toms get a large number of customers from social media like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and even Youtube to inspire us to buy one to give one. Youtube provides ads before videos to promote the one for one project. In the article, “60 million pairs and 10 years: Toms Shoes founder reflects” the authors Marcela Isaza and Lenne Italie mention, how 60 million pairs of shoes have been given away.

 Marcela and Lenne also mentioned that Toms operates in more than 75 counties, including Syrian refugee camps in Jordan and China where many people are provided with shoes. Something interesting about the company that was also mentioned in the article was how they got their name. TOMs come from the phrase “Sell a pair of shoes today and give away a pair tomorrow” where “tomorrow” is shortened to TOMS. In Conclusion, Toms has made a big difference in many peoples lives all over the world. Keeping children out barefoot feet, bad vision, and dirty water.

It’s not always good to depend on followers to make you feel wanted and have all the attention. However, companies paying twitter Bots followers is an unethical way to get followers to view your post or even to interact with the followers. Twitter Bots can be useful and informative, to being annoying and dangerous. Buying the followers is buying numbers for the same reason that the people are not interested or willing to interact with you. People communicate in different styles of languages with thoughts, opinions, feelings, reactive, actions, and reflections. Sometimes people combine 2-3 or maybe all six languages. In my opinion, speaking with thoughts is a very important way to get all perspectives viewed in conversation, as I do. In other words, I choose thoughts because communicating with fact, details, characteristics, and features help me get the right information over the information that is with feelings. As well, reflections is another language I use to overthink what will be said to connect better with others. Thinking before speaking can avoid a lot of conflicts like miscommunication or misunderstanding of a situation. Overall, being thoughtful and reflective of words in a conversation is a good way to frame a reference.

In most cases, technical communication is very imported in a workplace to communicate with different types of people whether it is with the workers or the customers. With the knowledge of technical writing skills, an easier and faster way to interact through the internet without meeting face to face. However, if a face to face conversation is necessary to get information out to the people a large part of communication skills is needed to have the other person understand clearly. For example, becoming a Detective, talking suspects in an understandable and respectful way is a big part of the job to get all the information that is needed to close a case. Along with, writing skills to write statements and reports of a case to present in court. In conclusion, having technical writing and communication skills helps you work more efficiently with others. 

 

Academic time should not be used to teach elementary students how to write cursive handwriting. Young students are at the beginning of their education learning how to write and spell words, or even maybe getting familiar with constructing a proper sentence. Therefore, students should take the time that is being used to learn how to write cursive to become better writers. Furthermore, not everyone writes the same in cursive which makes it difficult for most students to read it. Apart from this, as technology develops over the years most teachers will continue to have their students do online homework and assignments. However, if some teachers think cursive is important and a student has the curiosity to learn it, an afterschool program should be offered to the student. Overall, having time taken away from learning more about academic, technology, and writing skills can make a huge difference in students learning.
